MICROBLADING
Microblading is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattooing technique used to enhance the appearance of eyebrows. It involves using a hand-held tool with ultra-fine needles to deposit pigment into the skin in hair-like strokes, creating the illusion of fuller, more defined eyebrows. Microblading is popular for its ability to create natural-looking, long-lasting results and is a popular choice for those looking to enhance their eyebrows without the daily maintenance of makeup. Results are customized for every client and every appointment will start with a detailed consultation. You may bring a photo of some inspiration photos of eyebrows you would like to achieve. I will always give my professional opinion.

The procedure usually takes around 2.5-3 hours to complete, including the initial consultation and numbing time. While some discomfort may be experienced during the process, numbing cream is used to minimize any pain.
FAQ
Do you offer consultations?

Every appointment will start with a 15-20 minute consultation.

If you're unsure whether microblading is the right fit for you, a consultation can help figure that out. During the consultation, I'll do a customized brow mapping and design to help you visualize the final result. We will discuss your desired shape, color, and overall brow goals, as well as go over the healing process. If you decide to book, the $50 consultation fee will go towards your appointment - or any other service I offer.
What are the steps of the procedure?

Before the procedure, I will consult with you to determine the desired shape, fullness, and color of the eyebrows. I will then carefully map out the brow shape and then numb the eyebrows for 10-15 minutes. I will then use the microblading tool to create tiny, precise strokes that mimic natural eyebrow hairs.
How long will microblading last?

Microblading will fade over time and will need to be refreshed typically every 1-3 years. Although it is considered a semi-permanent tattoo, dependant on how many sessions you have had it may not completely fade and will leave some residual pigment behind. Some factors that will cause your tattoo to fade faster:

-
Iron deficiency
-
Exfoliants
-
Oily skin
-
Sun exposure
-
Retinol, AHA’s and vitamin C
Does it hurt?

While some discomfort may be experienced during the process, numbing cream is used to minimize any pain.
Will my tattoo change colour over time?

Over time your pigment will fade and get lighter in colour and turn more cooler or “ashy”. To prevent this from happening please book your refresher appointments accordingly so we can bring back the warmth in your brows.
Will I need a touchup?

A touch up is recommended for everybody 6-8 weeks after your initial session. Depending on how your tattoo has healed, we can alter the shape and colour of your tattoo, fill in spots that didn’t retain pigment as well or go darker and bolder. Touch up’s will make your tattoo last longer. Touch ups are an extra charge and can be booked no longer than 6 months from your initial session otherwise they will be considered “refresher appointments” and will incur an extra charge.

What if I have a previous tattoo done by somebody else?

If you have a previous tattoo please send a photo of them with no makeup on in natural lighting to info.inkandbeauty@gmail.com for approval prior to booking your appointment. In rare cases you may need to get lasered to completely remove the tattoo and start fresh.
How can I prepare for my appointment?

-
Do not drink excessive alcohol or coffee 24 hours prior to your appointment.
-
Botox in the brow area should be done 2 weeks prior or 2 weeks after the procedure.
-
Avoid exercising the day of the procedure.
-
Do not take Advil or other blood thinners 48 prior to your appointment. Extra strength Tylenol can be taken if you have a low pain tolerance although numbing cream will be used.
-
Do not get brows threaded, waxed or plucked one week prior to appointment or 2 weeks afterwards.
-
Do not get any chemical peels or laser treatments 2 weeks before your appointment. These can be booked 2 weeks after your appointment.
What is aftercare like?

After the procedure, there is typically a healing period during which the eyebrows may appear darker than expected. Over the following 2 weeks, the pigment will fade slightly, and the brows will settle into their final color and shape. Touch-up appointments may be necessary to perfect the results and ensure longevity.

Wash morning and night for 7 days with a gentle cleanser provided. Wash within 4 hours of getting your brows done. Make sure to wash outside the shower. Look in the mirror while washing so you can be extra gentle. Only wipe gently in the direction of hair growth—no circles or hard rubbing. Wash with warm or cool water, and pat dry with a clean paper towel.

Keep dry (besides washing) until completely healed—aka no scabbing or flaking left! This usually takes about 10 days. Keep brows dry in the shower. Steamy hot showers will cause pores to open and scabs to soften, so to be cautious, avoid extra steamy hot showers.

Apply balm 3 times daily with a Q-tip. If you have oily skin, apply 2 times daily. Use only a tiny amount—the tube contains enough for both your initial session and touch-up.

Here is a timeline of what to expect during your 2 week healing process:
-
Day 2 - your eyebrows will appear the darkest they will be.
-
Day 3 - your eyebrows will appear patchy and look uneven.
-
Day 8 - your eyebrows will look like they have disappeared
-
Day 14 - your brows will come back in colour but may still appear patchy
-
At the 6 week mark your brows will be fully healed and can undergo a touch-up session.
How do I know when to come back in for a refresher appointment?

A refresher is typically booked every 1-3 years. Once your brows have faded about 50% in colour, the shape is not as prominent or the colour has turned more cool and the strokes are not as visible- it is time to book your refresher appointment. If you are unsure if you are in need of a refresher, please email me a photo of your eyebrows with no makeup on in natural lighting to info.inkandbeauty@gmail.com and I can give you my professional opinion.
Will microblading cause damage to the skin?

If done properly by a skilled professional microblading will not cause any damage to the skin and will not cause any scarring.
What pigment do you use?

The pigment used in microblading is specifically formulated to match the natural eyebrow hair color and complement the client's skin tone. I have been using this pigment line since 2022 and have had great retention.
Do you have a cancellation list?
